Who we are?

We are a group of Mapuche and non-Mapuche people, with common interests, desires and motivations, who are aware of the progressive loss of identity, cultural uprooting, massive folklorization of Mapuche culture and spirituality. We have gathered together to pose the idea of a collective work of rescue, safeguard, advocacy, socialization and strengthening of the constituent elements of the Mapuche culture. That is, encouraging Mapuche nation to undertake a work of recognition, gathering, assessment, re-appropriation and respect for the importance of ancient knowledge, philosophical, spiritual, cultural and social perspectives of our grandfathers and grandmothers. In this way, this work will allow the Mapuche themselves, in their various stakeholder roles – elders, students, professionals, political and functional leaders, children and youth – to apply feedback from the ancestral Mapuche culture to its projection beyond new generations.
